A family experience in St. Corona am Wechsel near Vienna: Hiking with kids - from a fairytale and themed trail to a tip for travelling with a pram

In St. Corona, even those who are averse to fresh air quickly become enthusiastic for hiking - thanks to amusing themed trails, fairytale routes and simple paths where even the little ones in prams are also involved.

Trips into the rolling Alpine landscapes around St. Corona are also great fun for little hikers. There’s much to discover on gorgeous paths - such as the mysterious Queen of the Forest.

Queen of the Forest and a magic mill

At Corona’s ant trail budding natural scientists can discover more about a particularly important animal in the forest - the ant - in an entertaining manner. It is glorious on the fairytale and mill trail Ödenhof: Families take a simple route from the car park, flanked by an old mill, wonderful fairytale figures and a forest chapel. A playground, pond and a sun terrace await at the Ödenhof.

Hiking with a pram

The Unternberger village route is suitable for gentler hikes with a pram: A flat, easy trail takes us around the sunny part of St. Corona. Carved wooden figures and a small village museum - and plenty of opportunities to have a sit down - along the route mean both adult and child hikers enjoy this 4 kilometre route.
