In the midst of nature, the themed hiking trail invites families to an educational adventure. At 15 exciting and interactive stations, it explains to children the life and tasks of the forest inhabitants.

Learning through play.

On the 2.5 kilometers long and freely accessible themed hiking trail, you can learn in 15 stations in an understandable and playful way about the life of ants in the forest: What tasks do they have, who are their neighbors, and how do they build and maintain their kingdom?

At the Gasthof Orthof in St. Corona - where the summer toboggan run winds down the mountain - an extraordinary adventure trail around the small forest dweller begins, estimated to take about 1.5 hours to complete. There is a large parking lot with 2 levels available for you here.

An exciting theme trail for young and old

The themed trail is perfect for children from 3 years old and can also be easily completed with a carrier. The hike is possible with a stroller on the forest path next door, but not necessarily recommended. Families with children as well as school classes can learn a lot of new things about the interesting little creature on a leisurely hike along the ant trail.

Break at the pond

At the highest point of the themed trail, a small "Relax-Reich" with a reservoir, sun loungers, and benches invites you to rest - amidst the untouched nature of Kampstein. Additionally, the Stand-Up-Paddle station offers an action-packed activity. In case of an urgent need to use the restroom, there are toilet facilities at the reservoir. Back at Gasthaus Orthof, hearty delicacies await for refreshment, and those who have been good hikers deserve an ice cream at the Kronaushütte afterwards.
